Selling something that does not exist yet
Cityscape is unlike any other show we build for, because most of what is being sold has not been built. A developer’s stand has to carry the credibility the buildings cannot yet supply — and it does that through model plinths, material samples, lighting and the quality of the space itself.
This is why finish matters more here than almost anywhere. A visitor who is being asked to believe in a masterplan reads the stand as evidence of the developer’s standards. A poor edge detail on the stand quietly undermines the render behind it.
Model plinths, lighting and sightlines
Scale models are the centrepiece at Cityscape, and they are unforgiving. A plinth has to be level, rigid enough that the model does not move when the hall floor does, lit so the massing reads without glare on the acrylic, and set at a height where an adult can look across it rather than down at it. Getting those four right is most of the design problem.
We build plinths and display casework in our own factories alongside the joinery for the rest of the stand, so the finish matches across the whole build.
Meetings happen here
Cityscape is a transaction show. Private meeting space is not a luxury on a developer stand — it is where the value of the four days is realised. Where floor area is tight, that argues strongly for going up: see our guide to double-decker stands.

Frequently asked questions
Can you build a two-storey developer pavilion?
Yes — we have designed, built and installed double-decker structures. They need a separate structural approval track and a longer lead time, which is why the decision has to be made early.
Can you build the model plinths as well as the stand?
Yes, in the same factory as the rest of the build, which is the only reliable way to get finishes to match across plinth, counter and wall.
How early should we start?
Six to eight weeks from approved concept for a custom build, and longer if a second storey is involved. Work backwards from the show date and add time for structural approval if you are going up.
Do you handle venue approvals?
