The Entry Hour Decides the Whole Night
Crowd pressure is almost always created in the first sixty minutes. If arrivals cluster and throughput at the gate is lower than the arrival rate, a queue forms that never fully clears, and every downstream problem — frustrated guests, blocked circulation, pressure at barriers — follows from that single mismatch. We calculate expected arrival curves against realistic scanning and search times, then design enough parallel entry lanes to absorb the peak instead of assuming guests will arrive evenly across the doors-open window. They never do.
Briefing, Rehearsal and the Day Itself
A plan nobody has rehearsed is a document, not a capability. Before doors open we brief every steward on their position, their escalation path and the specific decision they are allowed to make without asking. During the event a small control team watches flow at the known pressure points and adjusts barrier lines and lane counts in real time. Afterwards we debrief on what actually happened versus what was modelled, so the next event at the same venue starts from evidence rather than assumption.

At what audience size do we need a formal crowd management plan?
There is no single number — it depends on venue geometry, entry points and whether the event is ticketed. A confined space with one entrance can need a plan at a few hundred attendees, while an open site with multiple gates handles far more comfortably. If in doubt, model it early; retrofitting a crowd plan is always more expensive.
Do you provide the on-ground staff as well as the plan?
Yes. We provide trained ushers and crowd stewards along with the planning, so the people on the ground are briefed on the same plan they are executing.
Can you work with our security provider?
Yes. Crowd management and security are separate disciplines and usually run together. We coordinate flow planning with your appointed security team and the venue.
Do you produce the wayfinding signage too?
